NAC 4-1 Cercle Brugge
Sportpark Het Schenge - Goes
19 July 2012
What's in a Name?
Revisit to Goes and this time the main pitch is in use. Side terrace was a pleasant surprise.
As the Belgians were in town and my holiday started the next day, I thought I would do pre-season 'Flemish Style'!
NAC ran out easy winners in a game where I was left wondering if this represented a decent NAC team or a poor Cercle one. I fear the latter.
Bit of tivia. Although the town is called Goes, the team gets it's name from Gezamenlijk Opwaarts Eendrachtig Sterk, and refer to themselves as vv G.O.E.S. Rough translation means 'Together, united Strong Upward', which we here at PDM towers think is pretty clever. Any ideas for Aldershot Town?
