Facilities
I was listening to Talk Sport one day when a caller made reference to the quality of training facilities 'abroad' compared with the UK. The ex-pro presenter (who will remain nameless) completely missed the point by quoting the amount of money Chelsea had spent on Chobham. The caller was, of course referring to a much lower level, and he is right. Jeka are a prime example. Based on the outskirts of Breda, this Eerste Klasse club (5th Tier) have a main pitch, practice pitch, 2 training pitches and 2 3G pitches. Floodlit. And they are nothing special. In fact, just down the road are Baronie with the same sort of facilities, whilst TVC and BSV are also all based in Breda. There are no doubt more, and obviously there is NAC.
Every town has clubs like this. So please, don't tell me the UK facilities for clubs of this size are as good.
Good performance from the home team against their Hoofdklasse visitors.
