Take me out of the ballpark and put me into the bowl
This was a game that I had pencilled in for a while, along with a game at the citrus bowl which I didn't attend, and didn't know if I was excited or not. Tropicana field has a capacity of 42,735 is the last remaining fully domed ballpark in the MLB. Their opponents for today's game also have a ballpark that can be transferred into a dome in the skydome. Have I mentioned the word dome?
The ballpark has two sides with large three tired stands that incorporate luxury seats and very good views of the plate. on one side of the outfield, where we sat, was a two tired stand which all three of the home runs we witnessed were hit too. The other side of the outfield had a single tiered stand with a large score board which the highlight for tody was the oblivious cam.
The artificial turf here was some of the worst I have witnessed and the roof slanting was interesting. If I ever find myself in Florida I won't be in a rush to return but it is nice to say I have been.
