Sedan P-P Dijon

Ground Hoppers Curse
It was -3 degs and we were well wrapped up walking to the Stade Louis Dugauguez 45 mins before kick off, when a lady shouted something at us from a passing car. Assuming that the local 'firm' did not comprise of middle aged women and that we were not being confused for the Dijon massive my heart sunk. This could only mean one thing. 5 mins later we arrived at the stadium to have our worse fears confirmed........Game Off, as of 15 minutes ago.
All that was open was a small club shop and a larger supprters bar. No where to try and get out tickets refunded though.
And so a journey of 600km round trip, overnight acommodation and match tickets all proved wasted.
We saw the evening out in a city centre bar (NB Sedan is not a mecca of nighlife on a cold Wednesday) and planned our next trip (Hoffenheim on Sunday, including under soil heating!) consoling ourselves in the fact that, given the number of games we go to, late postponements are fortunately a rare event.
Whether we ever get to use those match tickets, only time (and the re-arranged date) will tell.
