The county ground Northampton
The County Ground was built in 1885 and hosted it's first cricket match in 1886. The County Ground was also home to Northampton town from 1897 to 1994, however not in the old ground section as it is still used, before heading across town to there new home across town at sixfields. The highest attendance at the ground was 24,523 for a first division match against fulham. The lowest crowd was fourth division match in the 1984-85 season against chester of 942. The current capacity is 6,500.
