NEC 1-1 NAC
Ere Divisie
Goffertstadion
5 February 2014
It was nice to finally be able to drive to Nijmegen, even if it was a bit of a squeeze in the away compound. Not the biggest of away ends, but the sight lines are reasonably good and the facilities are what you come to expect from a Dutch away end.
The draw was about the right result. NAC took an early lead through a great strike by Poepon, but were soon pegged back through a well worked moved finished by van Eijden. Second half was shaded by the home side, but the 77th minute dismissal of Haitz for a second yellow for a silly challenge saw the game meander to a stalemate.
Overall a good point, meaning four points from two away games in 5 days which is a massive improvement.
