Durham City AFC
The Arnott Stadium
Capacity: 3,000
Non Matchday
Date of Visit: 30/08/12
En-route to: Newcastle
Impression: Not the greatest of grounds, three of the sides appeared over grown and in neglect. The main stand did redeem it somewhat being elevated with a decent view of the pitch and a small paddock in front. One thing of note is that the pitch is a really poor quality artificial one. In one corner of the ground was a large social club that appeared to have a few people visiting. The ground is right on the outskirts of Durham, we wouldn't have visited had it not been for the visibility of the floodlights from the nearby motorway. When we got there there was a gate wide open with some kids taking advantage of the fenced of pitch.
