Chicago Cubs 4-7 Chicago White Sox

Wrigley Field
It's Great, But.........
Despite what some of you may think, I do not set out to be controversial. I try to give an honest opinion based on what I see and what I experience. This is no different.
Wrigley field is, well, great. What’s not to like about it? The surrounding area, the Ivy, the age, the front, the scoreboard, the tractor entrance that affords free views from the street and, of course, the unique, amazing roof top stands on houses across the street. Real old school baseball in one of only two stadiums older than Dodger Stadium (that opened in 1962).
Opened in 1914, it cost a mere $250,000 to build and holds 42,374 (including standing). Little has changed, although the bleachers have been extended. As you would expect it is cramped. The main two tier horse shoe filters down into one concourse and the facilities are, shall we say, more old Wembley than new.
However, this is Wrigley, you don’t go for the comfort you go to experience what baseball used to be like. And you get it, in bucket loads.
BUT (hey you knew it was coming), it’s not Fenway, not even close.
